Rio Celeste Waterfall Tour, Sloths Garden

Rio Celeste Waterfall Tour starts early morning with a drive to the famous Tenorio Volcano National Park, the majestic Celeste River, and its falls. Once in the park and after one hour of walking, you will reach the famous falls of the Celeste River. This fast-flowing river seems to flow out of the green hill before its 65 feet spectacularly fall into a basin of such a sky-blue color that it will bring out the most spontaneous expressions of wonder.
Rio Celeste Waterfall Tour continues by the rainforest, where you will find areas with boiling-water springs that smell of sulfur. Further up, in another volcanic activity zone, numerous columns of bubbles rise from the depths of calm waters to burst on the surface. The legend says that the River got its name from the fact that God, after painting the skies, cleaned his brushes in these waters.
When you reach an area called “Los Teñideros,” your guide will explain that this results from the chemical reaction of the union of the minerals in the volcanic massif.
After the hike at the national park, we will drive you to the sloth’s garden. There, you will observe several two- and three-toated sloths, toucans, monkeys, and birds. Red-eye and blue jeans frogs are also present along the hike.
Rio Celeste Waterfall Tour includes a cultural show where you will learn about coffee and chocolate elaboration. For the last, you will enjoy a delicious typical lunch.

Rio Celeste Waterfall Hike Includes.
Include Private Transportation, a Bilingual Naturalist Guide, Entrance Fees, Water, and typical lunch.
What to bring: Tennis or hiking shoes, comfortable clothes, rain gear, poncho, towel, change of clothes, bug repellent, sunscreen.
Departure: 7.00 am / Return: 4.00 pm approx.
Duration: 8 hours approx.
Please note: Children must be at least 8 y.o or at least able to hike the park; some parts can be difficult during the rainy season.
This Tour is not recommendable for people with pressure, diabetes, knees, hips, or back problems.
Hiking Level: Easy-Moderate
Important Note: In case of suffering from a chronic disease or specialized care, please bring your medications with you and inform our guide so that we can assist you in the correct way if necessary.

Tours reserved less than 48 hours before departure must be paid immediately.
Cancelations made 72 hours before the tour are 100% refundable; bank fees apply.
Cancelations between 72 – 48 hours are 50% refundable. Bank fees apply.
Cancelations made within 48- 24 hours or less are not refundable.
Non-Shows and last-minute cancellations are not refundable.
Change of date must be done at least 48 hours before the tour, during office hours (8 am-5 pm). Penalties apply. Subject to availability.
We do not accept guests under the influence of alcohol or drugs. No refund will apply.
Driver and Tour Guide Tips are omitted.
If we have to cancel the tour of some natural disaster or human manifestation, this will be rescheduled for a day of your convenience, or we will make the pertinent money refund. The client’s safety is a priority for us.
We are not responsible for any luggage or personal valuables lost or damaged during the tour. Please take care of your personals during the tour.
