Monteverde Reserve + Hanging Bridges
Monteverde Nature Tour starts early, driving you to the Tilaran mountain range. Once you arrive at the Monteverde Reserve, our guide will take your cloud forest experience to the next level with updated natural history information. In this hike, you will see a variety of plants, including towering trees, orchids, and bromeliads, as well as spot animals such as monkeys, sloths, and birds.
Our Monteverde Nature Tour gives you the opportunity to enjoy the stunning views of the cloud forest canopy and learn about the reserve’s unique ecosystem. A hike by the Monteverde Reserve is a truly unique and unforgettable experience.
The Monteverde Reserve is home to 425 species of birds, 120 species of mammals, 60 species of amphibians, and 101 species of reptiles. More than 3200 species of plants have been found, including 700 species of trees and 500 species of orchids have been classified in Monteverde Reserve.
Once you finish the hike at the Reserve, the Monteverde Nature Tour will drive you to the Monteverde Hanging Bridges, which takes you by a network of hanging bridges that winds through the Cloud Forest. You will enjoy stunning views of the treetops and the surrounding mountains from there.
The Monteverde Hanging Bridges take around 2.5 hours to complete. It is a moderate hike, but the bridges are sturdy and safe. There are five bridges in total, with a range in length from 20 to 100 meters, the longest of which spans around 984 feet, and the highest is 60 meters above the ground. The trails extend slightly over a mile and a half (2.5 km), making this tour feasible for anyone in moderate shape.

Things To Know
Monteverde Nature Tour Includes.
Private Transportation, a Bilingual Naturalist Guide, Monteverde Reserve Hike, Hanging Bridges, Water, and typical lunch.
What to bring: Tennis or hiking shoes, comfortable clothes, rain gear, poncho, towel, change of clothes, bug repellent, sunscreen.
Departure: 6.00 am / Return: 6.00 pm approx.
Duration: 12 hours approx.
Please note: Children must be at least 8 y.o or at least able to hike the park; some parts can be difficult during the rainy season.
This Tour is not recommendable for people with pressure, diabetes, knees, hips, or back problems.
Hiking Level: Easy-Moderate
Important Note: In case of suffering from a chronic disease or specialized care, please bring your medications with you and inform our guide so that we can assist you in the correct way if necessary.

Monteverde Nature Tour Cancellation Policies
Tours reserved less than 48 hours before departure must be paid immediately.
Cancelations made 72 hours before the tour are 100% refundable; bank fees apply.
Cancelations between 72 – 48 hours are 50% refundable. Bank fees apply.
Cancelations made within 48- 24 hours or less are not refundable.
Non-Shows and last-minute cancellations are not refundable.
Change of date must be done at least 48 hours before the tour, during office hours (8 am-5 pm). Penalties apply. Subject to availability.
We do not accept guests under the influence of alcohol or drugs. No refund will apply.
Driver and Tour Guide Tips are omitted.
If we have to cancel the tour of some natural disaster or human manifestation, this will be rescheduled for a day of your convenience, or we will make the pertinent money refund. The client’s safety is a priority for us.
We are not responsible for any luggage or personal valuables lost or damaged during the tour. Please take care of your personals during the tour.
